John started piping at the tender age of 6. He has been taught by such famous pipers as Pipe Major George Stoddart BEM and Captain John MacLellan (former Head of The Army School of Piping). In a career spanning 50 years John has taught in many countries as well as performing and producing Scots Nights for most of the top hotels in Edinburgh and organising the weddings at the famous Melville Castle Hotel.

John’s piping qualifications include The Teacher’s Certificate, Senior Teaching Certificate and the prestigeous Diploma of Piping from the Institute of Piping (Now known as The Piping and Drumming Qualification Board)

Kieran has been piping for only 8 years but has crammed many acheivements into his career including successfully competing, playing in pipe bands and performing at the Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo. He has performed at weddings with John as well as a solo pipier and is a regular at all of John’s show not only performing but also presenting the show. The picture on the left was taken in Malawi where Kieran was one of the few Scouts to represent Scotland on a four week expedition. At present Kieran is working towards his Teacher’s Certificate.
